Every effort will be made to get your books and maps to you as soon as possible. The guidebook industry is highly specialized and consists primarily of very small printing runs. Books can suddenly and without warning go out of print. Whenever this happens, we will notify you immediately so that you can begin looking for a used copy. We will also notify you if a new edition has been announced by the publisher.
Shopping at our site is safe.
All orders on our site are processed on by Yahoo! on their secure server. All credit card information is encrypted and protected. To check that your transaction is secure, look for the unbroken key or closed padlock icon in the lower left corner of your browser screen. In addition, all credit card information is automatically purged from the system after 30 days.

Since Wildernet's distribution model requires a distributor to ship products to customers, it is necessary to provide shipping information for that purpose.
We accept the following credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, and Novus/Discover. We only charge your credit card once the book has shipped.

We offer two methods of shipping books which are relatively heavy--USPS Priority Mail or USPS Media Mail. We will ship by UPS when it is more economical than Priority Mail.
The rate for Priority Mail is $5.00 for the first item and $1.50 for each additional item. The rate for Media Mail is $2.00 for the first item and $0.50 for each additional item. Please remember that Media Mail while cheap is extremely slow--expect 2-3 weeks for delivery.
We will ship light-weight maps via First Class Mail. The rate is $1.50 for the first item and $0.50 for each additional item.

Foreign orders are shipped by standard mail unless UPS is more economical. The standard rate is $15.00 for the first item and $1.50 for each additional item. Rates may vary substantially by country and Wildernet reserves the right to collect the actual cost of delivery if it is more than the standard rate quoted here.
At this point in time, no sales taxes need to be collected on internet orders.
Duties, taxes and customs are the responsibility of the consumer and must be paid upon receipt of the shipment. These rules vary by country, and your local government determines duty and customs charges. All international orders must be paid for by credit card.
All orders are processed between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. (PST), Monday through Friday. Your order will be shipped within 24-48 hours, unless we notify you otherwise.
Priority and First Class Mail Customers: West coast customers generally receive their books within 1-2 days, western states within 2-3 days and eastern states within 3-5 days.
Media Mail Customers: Expect 2-3 weeks for delivery.

Though we do our best to make sure the products we offer are always available, guidebooks can go out-of-print suddenly and without warning. If the item you order is unavailable, we'll notify you within 24 hours. Your credit card will not be charged if the book is out-of-print books.
