This documentary tells the inspiring story of a unique WA state rail-to-trail project constructed by Volunteers for Outdoor Washington in partnership with the Forest Service & the support of more than 50 companies & organizations. 100s of volunteersspent 1000s of hours on the project over a 15-yr period! The trail, in the Stevens Pass Historic District, follows the grade of the Great Northern Railway from the former town of Wellington to Scenic on US 2. The film showcases the natural beauty of thisarea in the heart of the Cascades; tells of one of the worst train disasters in the US; and documents how it is possible to have a good time while building a 1st-class interpretive trail & bringing history to life.
